Wow.
The heart of our soldiers never ceases to amaze me.
I’m the FRG Leader for my fiance’s unit, and we have *NO* money to do anything. We just lost one of our NCO’s, SSG. Eric Barker. Barker was a Dekalb County police officer, killed in an ambush-style attack, last week near Atlanta. I hope I never have to attend another funeral like that again. Police and Army traditions abounded at the service. I cried. For days.

Wow, that’s really incredible. I’m the Secretary of an FRG in my AO for an NG Troop…what an impact the money will have to help the families and other Soldiers of his unit. RIP SSG Gabel.
