The NY Times is a rag, and since there aren't any major "bad news" stories coming out of Iraq they have to turn on our Military, anything for a negative spin.

Ralph Peters wrote a GREAT piece in the NY Post which counters and presents many facts to debunk the BS that was printed.

I'm beyond disgusted with their garbage, and just sorry our Military continues to be maligned by them.

I'll give you that the NYT screwed a news item for sensationalism, but, the bit about how fox DID their homework doesn't actually wash to well with me.
Those clowns tried to imply that Obama was a Muslim and that he went to one of those "hate Americans schools" which he didn't as it turned out.

I'm thinking that pretty much all the media is hyped up trying to produce the mostest news with the leastest of care about what's true or not, just for ratings and what not.

Hey, it was the New York Times that said there could never be space travel, back in the twenties, but, after the "Eagle" landed on the moon, they posted a retraction.
I'm guessing that a retraction is an easy out for any of these outfits to say or write anything they think will get them audience.

Them clowns!

Sergeant Major Hook ... The NYT story is pernicious rubbish, deliberate falsification indeed. As someone better versed in statistics than I pointed out, there were deliberate omissions in the comparison numbers used so the conclusions are completely invalid. Why do folks still read the NYT? Grown-ups don't. Only smug Democrats and other spacey liberals do. I'm with Miss Birdlegs and your other commenters here.

Take care and stay safe, Hook, you and your soldiers. We pray for you every night.
