I live in the DC area, so that is often at the super market, malls, or at a gas station. I know that it is me and mine they protect. They often act quite suprised that I would thank them, especially the midis at Annapolis Mall, but I think that it is really important for soldiers to know that we (or atleast I) appriciate what they give up to keep us safe.
