Have you ever noticed a Soldier, Marine, Coast Guardsmen, Sailor, or Airmen walking through the airport and wanted to stop and say, “Thank You” but didn’t because you were late for a flight, felt awkward, or just weren’t sure if it was appropriate? Well, here’s an idea that just might work…

I stopped a squad in the airport the other day and thanked them all one by one…it’s a privilege and an honor to thank them. I do this all the time…it’s a pleasant surprise for most.

Thank you for posting this website and moving video.
I have no problem going up to troops in the airport.. Just try to stop me. LOL
This video is something I can share with people who may not feel as comfortable as I do. It will show them how easy it is, how important it is, and how its the right thing to do.

As much as I travel, and as concious as I try to be, I still don’t say it as often as I need to….THIS is a great idea…and a strong reminder about how important it is.

I thank any militry man or woman in uniform that I pass. I live in the DC area, so that is often at the super market, malls, or at a gas station. I know that it is me and mine they protect. They often act quite suprised that I would thank them, especially the midis at Annapolis Mall, but I think that it is really important for soldiers to know that we (or atleast I) appriciate what they give up to keep us safe.
