Electric Venom linked with Nine Nibbles

Interesting.

I just finished watching #1 and I am impressed, inspired and encouraged that a select group of “tweens” put more effort into pursuing global awareness into something bigger than WoW or their next Emo fashion statement on MySpace. I’m looking forward to paying particular attention to ALL of the 11 segments (not just 2 & 4).

Thanks for the heads up… it’s good to know that our “youth” are involving themselves in global causes as opposed to sitting on their asses or killing / raping / sucking the system dry as our MSM would suggest they do.

… and I’ll continue to moderate my child’s tv experience as opposed to utilizing it as a “baby-sitter-in-a-box”.

Just sayin’.

Nope. I’m not okay with any television show exposing dead children to children at any hour of any day.

I am equally NOT okay with parents assuming they aren’t going to.

Do you allow your child to go to the toy department at Walmart by themself? I mean, it’s harmless, right?

Allowing children to watch television without parental supervision is no different.

It feels safe. It should be. It once was.

It isn’t.

… and I’ll reiterate: the entire Nickelodeon presentation was not harmful. Much (most) of it, was impressive and progressive (and that doesn’t mean liberal, ahem).

Best bet if you MUST allow them television and cannot monitor it: buy DVDs or videos and pre-sreen them.

Better yet… kill your tv.
