On this last Monday of May 2007, I ask that you take a few moments to remember our fallen. Maybe while waiting for the coals to turn gray, or for a fish to bite, or maybe just for the beer to chill, let us all make time to honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice so that we may enjoy our way of life. Especially the 3,813 that have died fighting for freedom from terror.

Taps
Halfway down the road to hell,
In a shady meadow green,
Are the souls of all dead troopers camped
Near a good old-time canteen.
And this eternal resting place
Is known as Fiddler’s Green.
