  15. I don’t have a caption that beats those already suggested but the picture reminds me of a bit of footage from several years back of a soldier standing on the hood of a Humvee teaching the dozen or so local kids American rap. He had them word perfect by the end. No doubt it irritated the anti-war crowd to see him corrupting the kids with low-brow American culture.

  20. I was reminded of a Samo Hung TV episode where he is confronted by a very angery if not physically threatening person. He has a simple thing to say to him just before he whips his arse - “You are an unhappy person.”

Now that the contest is over, ever notice that Joe is about the most clean cut, friendly, responsible looking person you have ever seen? Just maybe the “Troop supporting (not)- military haters” should look at themselves in the mirror - maybe they would see people who are self centered, whining and generally unhappy people (not even under stress) who just want everyone else to feel as crappy as they do?! The problem with them is they are incapable of learning or changing - they simply dont want to.

In view of a recent tendency to identify characters in fiction with real people, it seems proper to state that there are no real people in this volume: both the characters and their names are ficticious. The names or designations of any military units are ficticious. There are no living people nor existing military units presented in this book. -Ernest Hemingway

Fiddler's Green

Halfway down the road to hell,
In a shady meadow green,
Are the souls of all dead troopers camped
Near a good old-time canteen.
And this eternal resting place
Is known as Fiddler's Green.
