6 February 2007

I’ve been invited, and have accepted, to be on one of the panels at the 2007 Milblog Conference scheduled for May 5th in our nation’s capital. I consider it an absolute honor to have been invited and am humbled to find myself among such esteemed company as Bill Roggio and Bouhammer with the famed Matt of Blackfive as our moderator.

I had planned on holding a bake sale or car wash here to help fund the trip so as not to dip into the family budget, but with friends like the ones I have, it doesn’t look like I’ll need to make cupcakes. I am again humbled and glad that I’ll be able to participate in the conference, hope to see you there. Sgt Hook out.

  1. I’m very much looking forward to meeting you! I had the pleasure of meeting CJ last year, and he’s a sweetheart. Sorry CJ, I meant he’s really, REALLY tough. :-)

  9. I’m so glad that you’ll be able to attend. Unfortunately I won’t be able to, since I just moved from that area of the country a year ago, and currently have my step-son to deal with while SNAFU is in Iraq. Maybe next year, SNAFU and I will be able to make it out there. Have fun!

Fiddler's Green

Halfway down the road to hell,
In a shady meadow green,
Are the souls of all dead troopers camped
Near a good old-time canteen.
And this eternal resting place
Is known as Fiddler's Green.
