You were expecting a caption contest perhaps? Sorry folks, not this week. Today your challenge, should you accept it, is to propel Sgt Hook into the winner’s circle for the Best Milblog Contest hosted by the VA Mortgage Center Blog, You Served. Voting ends tomorrow at noon so get over there and vote!

Yes, I may be down by some 200 votes behind an outstanding Milblog (never mind that there are several contributors over there), and there are only 24 hours left in the competition, but listen up soldiers! There is no such thing as a mission impossible so get out the vote, families, friends, enemies, and librarians. Send Hook to Washington today!

VOTE HERE

Thank you. Sgt Hook out.

  11. I voted for you, if I had any latent demoncrat tendencies, I could have found a way to vote more than once. But, alas I am rooted in the right minded, decent neighborhood/ Good luck, take that hill, plant your flag.

  15. (never mind that there are several contributors over there)

Yeah, I noticed that too. I also noticed that unlike most of the other MilBlog contest, you and B5 seem to consistantly be the only ones in the top 5 in this one. Congrats to you both.

Fiddler's Green

Halfway down the road to hell,
In a shady meadow green,
Are the souls of all dead troopers camped
Near a good old-time canteen.
And this eternal resting place
Is known as Fiddler's Green.
