Gypsy and JP ... once again, semantics is power here, and the MSM knows it. What they are too lazy or uninformed to differentiate here is the difference in meaning and connotation between the words 'strategy' and
'tactics.' I believe that our military colleges make the difference very clear. 'Strategy' is the utilization, during both peace and war, of all of a nation's forces to ensure security and victory. 'Tactics,' on the other hand, deals with the use and deployment of troops in combat to carry out a strategy. Our strategy, our overall plan, has not changed here, but our tactics, to achieve our goals, have. Tactical shifts are frequent in accomplishing a strategy. And that's what the
Administration is doing here -- shifting tactics.
But it makes a better, condemnatory story for the MSM to wail about the Administration's constant shift in strategy.

gypsy:
they don't really care about what you see as at stake.
your an alarmist and warhawk/chickenhawk. The whining about being for the poor and little guy is only a show, for they must keep it up to stay in power. They are for open borders (unless it is for China, North Korea, etc)so they can have their lawns mowed cheaply but prefer to call you a racist for wanting silly laws enforced to protect our LEGAL citizens.
They also are "Agin' whatever Bush is for!!" See the calls for a troop surge just last month. Now those same people are crying "Too Little, Too Late!!"(Reyes, prime case in point)

It's not at all what is right....just what is opposite of what Bush wants. Politics at the expense of all else.

I have often found the verbiage used by the MSM and the pols to be inflamatory, this is a prime example. Those folks that ignore the obvious and promote a cut and run policy infuriate me. If I, a mere citizen, can understand what is at stake why can't they?
