Lordy, one would think I'd been test drinking my recipe, however I promise you I wasn't. My newly shortened fingernails caused me some difficulty with the keyboard. Excuse me all.:)

Hopefully your eggnog is something like my favorite recipe: Golden Eggnog
1 pint brandy 1 dozen eggs
2 quarts Rum 1 pound dark brown sugar
        1 quart 1/2 & 1/2 2 cups milk
                 1 pint heavy cream
Mix everything together except for the egss and heavy cream, in a large pot, bowl . Be sure to have the brown sugar melt by stirring. In a seperate bowl, whisk the dozen eggs.
When the egg mixture is smooth, pour into eggnog mixture through a strainer, . You can either use the heavy cream in the actual nog mixture or whip it and make whipped cream to dollop onto the drinks. (I just pour it in with everything else. Add Cinnamon and nutmeg to taste. (for those of you worried about the uncooked eggs, you can cook them s l o w l y over low heat for a bit) Personally,I believe the alcohol kills anything bad for you and it also preserves the drink for a good while. However, it's never lasted long in my house. I've found that people that don't like eggnog love this stuff.
Merry Christmas ya'll!

If you choose to make this, and I hope you do, raise up a cup (or two) in honor of those that are preserving our way of life. God Bless!!!
