The U.S. Army is launching a new advertising campaign to replace the Army of One slogan and it looks pretty good to me. I’ve seen an advance release highlighting the direction the Army is going with the new tagline. Wanna peek?

Army Strong

What do you think? Sgt Hook out.

  1. Never really liked “Army of One” personally! Thought it went against what the services really are! But I like this one–I think it’s awesome and right on!

  2. Ditto. “Army of One” was dumb, if you ask me. This is more like what it’s all about. Good. Very good.

  3. Cool!

And I agree, I like this one much better.

Actually, I would have tried to turn Army into a action verb.

Thanks for the peek at the video!

  6. I really, really like this one! They still don’t take old ladies, though…

  7. Mercy… Very good. A whole lot better than the Army of one crap.

MissBirdLegs, they don’t take old men either.

  8. Good stuff, I really like this! I am glad to see the Army replace the “Army of One”. Then again I always enjoyed the Be all you can be commercials…

  9. ‘An Army of One’ is out: Service Unveils New Slogan

The controversial “an Army of one” campaign is now history.
The Army has two words for its new slogan — “Army strong.”
Army Secretary Francis Harvey unveiled the new slogan and television advertisements this morning at the opening …

  10. I think it stinks and is a waste of a billion dollars. Did you note it cost a billion dollars? Why not use AKO and have contest to find a slogan?

    Comment by David Ruff — 10 October 2006 @ 1702

  11. I read about this yesterday on AKO and was skeptical. But, after seeing the video I like it. Thanks for the sneak peak. Just hope the words and promotions emphasise the warrior spirit/ethos and selflessness demanded with service to the nation.

  12. […] What deserves note now is that the Army decided to engage military bloggers to help educate Soldiers about this new campaign. […]

  13. OK, so I’m easily moved, especially with my son in Afghanistan. But, this brought tears to my eyes.

Fiddler's Green

Halfway down the road to hell,
In a shady meadow green,
Are the souls of all dead troopers camped
Near a good old-time canteen.
And this eternal resting place
Is known as Fiddler's Green.
