First, welcome back.  How very much you've been missed throughout the blogosphere, not just the MilBlogs, I assure you.

And I'm sorry that you had to come back to such news as Rob's passing.  If I may, I'd like to link you to a &lt;a href="http://smokeonthewater.typepad.com/smokeonthewater/2006/06/silent_echoes.html" rel="nofollow"&gt;roundup of tributes&lt;/a&gt; to him.

I think &lt;a href="http://smokeonthewater.typepad.com/smokeonthewater/2006/06/a_vikings_funer.html" rel="nofollow"&gt;Rube&lt;/a&gt; may have written the best of them all.  Certainly, the most fitting.

And &lt;a href="http://smokeonthewater.typepad.com/smokeonthewater/2006/06/acid_flashback.html" rel="nofollow"&gt;my own bit&lt;/a&gt; about the Acidman.

Surely, no finer man never wore the uniform.  But he still served in his support, and indeed, shall be missed.
