The Hooks have arrived at our new undisclosed location safe and sound. Unfortunately, internet access is sketchy at best. In fact, you’d chuckle if you could see me sitting in my car, laptop on the dash, trying to acquire a Wifi signal strong enough to post this. Thanks for your patience. Sgt Hook out.

  1. Just good to “see” you again. Your readers miss your valuable presence! Yes, I’m speaking for all of us (sorry, may I?).

Thanks for letting us know the Hook household is safe and sound.

  4. You could always go to the “food court” to take advantage of the free WIFI there…unless of course your new undisclosed location is less civilized than your last.

Good to have you back on board!

See you on the high ground!

  5. Pixie said it just right, as far as I’m concerned.

And got that mental pix of you all hunched over in the car, Hook, trying to hold position just right’ to get your computer to work. I thought ‘improvise, adapt and overcome’ was a motto for a different branch of the military? -lol.
Ah, well, a great leader succeeds by using what’s available to his best advantage. No doubt there’ll never be a cornering of the market on good ideas by any one branch of the military.

Make sure yourself and TLTADS Mrs. put down the box cutters and have your Merry Band of Pirates drag out a few lawn chairs from amongst the pile of boxes in the new garage, so you can all take a breather and properly enjoy the day!

In view of a recent tendency to identify characters in fiction with real people, it seems proper to state that there are no real people in this volume: both the characters and their names are ficticious. Fiddler's Green

Halfway down the road to hell,
In a shady meadow green,
Are the souls of all dead troopers camped
Near a good old-time canteen.
And this eternal resting place
Is known as Fiddler's Green.
