Thought you should know that I am offended by the Pakistani Muslim Cleric who is offering a bounty of $1 million dollars for killing a cartoonist. Of course we don’t hear the esteemed gottdamned United Nations condemning this latest fatwa, probably working out a scheme to skim some money off the bounty in exchange for the release of all those poor detainees rat bastards down at Gitmo.

Any one else notice my patience has been wearing a little thin as of late? Sgt Hook out.

  1. I read about this today… I was floored. My feelings are the same as yours.

Calm down… *blood pressure* … go have a beer! ;)

  2. I can’t imagine why you are losing patience. We live in a beautiful world filled with love and peace. We all just need to get along and understand people who want to kill us and not offend their peaceful religion because they might get angry and hurt us. Oh, Oops! H’m LOCK and Load!
    Keep up the great posts.

  3. Yes, I have noticed. Love Arnie’s comment!!! Wish we could do as Jack Ryan did in Executive Orders!! Funny. It’s a work of fiction yet I wish it were reality. The reality of today seems as if should be a work of fiction.

  4. I’m with you Cheryl and I agree, Arnie’s comment was perfect.

  5. From the comments you’ve been getting, seems to me you’re not the only one losing patience! I didn’t have much to begin with & can’t watch the news anymore without screaming at the TV.

  6. LOL I do the same MissBirdlegs. Hook, I think we’re all beginning to lose patience, can’t say I blame you a bit. Arnie’s spot on.

  7. Ah yes, the religion of peace.

  8. You mean you’re not SUPPOSED to scream at the TV news??? Well, humppff, seems like y’all could have let me in on that one a long time ago….
And, have to add another kudos to Arnie’s reply.
BTW, thanks for the lack of UN ‘esteem’, Sgt. Hook - I noticed right off the bat! ;-)

Cartoons of religious icon = ‘offended’ muslims

Death threats to a cartoonist (or several) = ‘offended’ Sgt. Hook.
Nope, I’d say you’re still exhibiting remarkable patience by comparison!

  9. Actually, it’s high time a lot more people start getting a bit P.Oed. Enough of this, already. This has gotten way beyond ridiculous. Perhaps a fatwa from those in power–you want to riot over stupid stuff, fine. But we reserve the right to deal with you in our way. Then DEAL!

  10. Hooah Arnie. Lock and load.

  11. I am offended that no one has offered a bounty on the head of that cleric!

  12. Offering a reward for murder over a false prophet at that. But then nothing is new, Mohammad called for head chopping of poets in his day as well. This is no religion of peace, it is a march of death.

Fiddler's Green

Halfway down the road to hell,
In a shady meadow green,
Are the souls of all dead troopers camped
Near a good old-time canteen.
And this eternal resting place
Is known as Fiddler's Green.
