As for the problems with contractors in Iraq, they're just that, contractors and a little harder for governmental control other than cancelling the contract. Vets are mostly running the companies delivering supplies and security in Iraq and from what I saw on Frontline (Scott Helvenston was working for one of them) they are botching the job. We were totally lost after Katrina hit and there was so much destruction and there was no power, water, food or gasoline. Surely could have been better organized.
