Season Ending

This year’s hurricane season ends today with its 26th named storm, Tropical Storm Epsilon. Of the 26 storms this year, 13 were major, or category III and higher. This season also set a record with three category V storms. Can you name them? Don’t mess with Mother Nature. Sgt Hook out.

    Thank goodness the season is over. I listened to a discussion last night about extending the season to December now.. geeze.. I don’t know if I can stand that!!

    Once they get into the Gulf they generally have to come within 12 hrs land fall before we know for sure where they’re going and by that time you’ve got to have already made up your mind to leave because of the evacuation traffic jams or stay, so we end up leaving a lot more than we need to.
