That is an old story.  To fill you in a bit, the WTC steel was fit to use and the bow stem was forged on Sept. 9th, 2003 at the Amite Foundry is Mississippi.  Hansford T. Johnson, Acting Sec. Navy, officiated.  The USS New York is currently ahead of schedule for commissioning even after hurricane Katrina.  Her official motto is "Never Forget!"  The same motto of the NY Nat'l Guards' 42nd Infantry Division who are currently comming home from their tour of duty in Iraq.  She'll be a fine ship indeed!</description>
