Rotten in Moscow

Something does indeed smell rotten in Denmark Moscow. Lest we not forget that there is a war on, a Global War on Terror, and how it started.

Quoting unnamed aviation officials and security experts, Russian news agencies said authorities were not ruling out terrorism and suspicions were heightened by the fact that the two planes disappeared around the same time.

In Washington, a U.S. official, speaking on condition of anonymity Tuesday evening, said it was the understanding of American officials that the two Russian planes disappeared within four minutes of each other, which “in and of itself is suspicious.”

My condolences to the families who’ve lost loved ones. Sgt Hook out.

Well Hook, you would think people would WAKE UP and realize that we actually are at war - some of us GET IT, some never will I suppose. But next attack on our soil and they will scream that we’re not doing enough, not realizing that we can never totally prevent such attacks 100%. Meanwhile, I’m thankful that my sister’s inlaws went and returned from vacation in Moscow 2 weeks ago safely. I was worried when they went there because of terrorism there, but I suppose, it makes more sense to worry about it everywhere since that’s where it seems to be. Luckily, we have brave men and women doing the hard work to keep up safe. THANKS.

I just saw on the morning news that the 2 planes left from the same airport, one of the planes had sent the ground a signal that it had been hijacked (pilot pressed a covered button), and one was seen to have exploded in the air. They said it could be Chechen rebels who want to disrupt upcoming elections.

The latest and wildest so far rumor is that the Russians shot the planes down to prevent them from ramming into nuclear power plants. The rumor includes information that fighters were scrambled and that the planes went down virtually simultaneously and that a number of explosions were heard indicating multiple missile hits. The planes, btw, did not just departed from the same airport. They departed from Moscow.

I would not put it past the Russians to do it and to cover it up.

As usial the bear is up to something just the way in invaded hungary and what it did to KLA flight 007 the russian bear is untrustworthy we can trust the people of russia but its leaders are doing somthing they cant give up the red star its the symbol of oppression

There are several reasons for turning them into a receptive audience for Russian plans. After the removal of the Taliban regime in Afghanistan, the Central Asian regimes felt relieved from the threat of the fundamentalist Islamic movements, which used to have a safe haven across the Amu-Darya River. However, having assisted the US in the Taliban ouster, the countries are now deeply disappointed by Washington’s apparent neglect. The governments in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and even Uzbekistan feel betrayed: they expected flows of direct American investment, economic aid, new loans from the International Monetary Fund, as well as public American support for their regimes. But nothing of the sort has happened. After the completion of the active military phase of the operations in Afghanistan, the White House seems to have lost interest in the Central Asian republics and has dramatically diminished its presence in the region. Moreover, instead of support for the regimes, Washington started to be more and more critical about human rights and has stepped up promotion of democracy in those countries.
