Last Spring I went to visit a friend in England and got the chance to have an up-close and personal tour of a Chinook at a RAF Base. It was a thrill since I'd only seen them from the outside at the local air shows. Got it sit in the pilot's seat and everything. :) I think most of us civilians would be really amazed at the well thought out construction and design that makes it so versatile. What a marvelous machine. I know just what 3'X3' opening you're talking about!! That’s a great story.
